I’ve never been a classic diarist. Recording quotes, poems, book passages, and dialogue has always been my own way of journaling to understand my thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Three decades later and the result is near-eidetic memory for quotation and citation. It’s my version of a party trick. I continue to update this page as new quotes are added to my personal log.

Socrates

“Beware the barrenness of a busy life.”

E.O. Wilson

“The real problem of humanity is the following: we have Paleolithic emotions, medieval institutions, and God-like technology.”
