Works produced from aircraft, including airplanes, helicopters, and drones. I find it simultaneously exhilarating and meditative being up in the air. From above, landscapes are transformed. Space-down and oblique perspectives show me mesmerizing abstract compositions — and familiar scenes become stripped of their habituated meaning while new places reveal imperceptible connections. These detached visual rhythms remind me of my responsibility for, and the fragility of, the environment.
